If you have a loved one that is passionate about nature and the natural sciences, then you may find yourself somewhat perplexed when it comes to finding them a gift for any special occasion. You want to choose something that they will absolutely love but may not fully understand what that might be. There are many ways you can go about choosing a gift for the nature lover in your life. Get to know some gift ideas for your loved one. Then, you can use those ideas to get your shopping process started right away.
Dedicate a Star for Them
One of the gifts that might surprise and delight a loved one that is passionate about science and nature is to dedicate a star to them. You can name the star after your loved one as well as receive a star map showing how to locate the star in the sky and an official certificate with the name of the star.
This is a great gift if your nature-loving friend or family member enjoys stargazing or astronomy in particular. Choosing to dedicate a star for someone shows that you recognize their interests and care about connecting with their passions.
Get Them a Tree from the Arbor Day Foundation
Planting trees, whether in your own yard or as a way to try to reforest an area wiped out by wood harvesting, is a great way to connect with nature and show respect for nature. As such, you may want to gift your loved one with a tree from the Arbor Day Foundation. The Arbor Day Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the planting, respect, and care of trees across the nation.
They encourage people to plant trees and nurture them as well as work on projects involving rain forest preservation and recovery and general deforestation recovery. Buying your loved one a tree from the Arbor Day Foundation gives your loved one a chance to connect with nature through planting a tree, but it also puts the money you spend on them in a place where it can do the most good for the preservation and care of trees as well. This is a win-win type of gift for a nature lover.
Give Them a Nature Getaway
If you want to give your loved one a gift that is a little bigger, you may want to go with a nature trip. When a person is passionate about the natural world, they want to experience it as much as possible. As such, giving them a vacation to a well-known natural wonder like Yellowstone National Park, Redwood Forest, or the like can be a great way to go.
These trips would be scenic and educational which appeals to people that truly love nature. You can opt to book a package with guided tours and an itinerary for your loved one or you can simply pay for the travel and lodging expenses and let your loved one explore the area on their own.
Now that you know some gift ideas for your loved one that is passionate about nature, it is time to start your shopping.Share

Even as a child, I recognized that scent has the power to influence mood. The aroma of warm bread fresh from the oven still makes me feel safe and nurtured, even if I am the one who did the baking. The smell of sawdust reminds me of my grandfather who owned a lumber mill, and, strangely enough, the scent of paint thinner triggers memories of visiting my father at his machine shop on hot, summer days. Now that I have my own home, I use scent to help build my family's excitement for the holidays. Certain aromas reassure me that my house is clean or help me relax after a long day. The right smell can alleviate anxiety, promote a sense of calm, and signal that I am truly home.
